At first glance it would seem there is very little in common between a navigation app like Maps and the personality profiling tool Facet5, but if you dig a little deeper there is some common ground.
Both Maps and Facet5 provide evidence based structured guidance to reach a desired outcome. Using a navigation app will give you a route to your destination, suggesting the best path based on current conditions, like traffic and road closures. The map offers clarity on where to go and how to get there efficiently.
Similarly, Facet5 is like having a map for navigating the complexity of someone's personality. A Facet5 profile can be used in an interview, (and in many other settings) to understand a candidate’s personality, behaviours, and motivations. The insights generated by Facet5 can prompt an interviewer to ask relevant questions about an individual’s strengths, work preferences, how they interact within a team, and the type of leadership they enjoy.
Maps gives driving instructions in simple, concise language and is designed to support the driver to easily get to their destination without unnecessary distractions. Facet5 profiles are written in an everyday language with terms that people are familiar with, in comparison to other measures that use overly academic or a less balanced language.
